Instructions for Knitting a Spellbound Scarf
To knit with Spellbound, make stitches by pushing the needle through one side edge of the yarn rather than wrapping the yarn around the needle as you would normally do. When picking up stitches for each stitch, push the needle through the yarn from the back to the front , as shown in the diagram.
Spellbound Twirly Scarf Made with 1 x 100g hank Length: 115cm (45.25in) approx. Using long 4mm needles or a circular needle if preferred, pick up 120 stitches along one side edge of the yarn, spacing the stitches 2 blocks of colour apart. 1st Row: Knit every stitch to the end, spacing the stitches 2 blocks of colour apart. Repeat 1st row 4 times more. 6th Row: (Knit 2 stitches together) 60 times, spacing the stitches 2 blocks of colour apart. 60 stitches. Cast off the remaining stitches, loosely spacing the stitches 2 blocks of colour apart.
Spellbound Plain Scarf Made with 1 x 100g hank Length: 130cm (51.25in) approx. - Using 4mm needles pick up 5 stitches along one side edge of the yarn, spacing the stitches 3 blocks of colour apart.
- 1st Row: Knit every stitch to the end, spacing the stitches 3 blocks of colour apart.
- Repeat 1st row until nearly all the hank has been used, leaving sufficient yarn to cast off.
- Cast off spacing the stitches 3 blocks of colour apart.
